The Webster City Lynx volleyball team returned to action on Monday night, as they hosted the Cadets of Iowa Falls-Alden in North Central Conference action at Webster City High School. Webster City entered at 9-8 and 4-0 in conference play, while Iowa Falls-Alden entered at 5-17 and 1-3 in conference play.
Webster City would come out of the gates hot on Monday night, as they led the opening frame by double digits throughout most of the set and won 25-12. Iowa Falls-Alden would rally in set 2 to keep it close, but a late push by the Lynx gave them a 25-22 win, before Webster City closed the match out in set 3 with a 25-19 win and a 3-0 sweep.
Olivia Gallentine was the KQWC Player of the Game, collecting 14 kills, 18 assists and an ace on Monday night. Marissa Hedeen followed up her 30-kill performance against St. Edmond with 13 kills and 2 blocks on Monday, while Tristyn Wright finished with 5 kills and 14 assists.
Webster City volleyball returns to action on Saturday, when they compete in the Madrid Tournament at Madrid High School, with the tournament beginning at 8 AM.
