Roland-Story volleyball sweeps Perry, 3-0

The Roland-Story Norsemen volleyball team returned to action on Tuesday night, as they welcomed in the Perry Jayettes in Heart of Iowa Conference action at Roland-Story High School in Story City. Roland-Story entered Tuesday with a record of 13-1, while Perry entered at 5-7.

Roland-Story would dominate from the word “go” as the Norsemen bounced the Jayettes in the opener by a score of 25-8. The Norsemen continued to strengthen their grip on the match with a 25-6 win in set 2, capped off by a 25-5 win in set 3 to capture the 3-0 sweep.

Sophomore Brookelyn Jondle led the Norsemen with 10 kills and 2 aces on Tuesday, while Kam Lande added 5 kills, 5 blocks and 2 aces. Caitlyn Flattebo would finish with 6 kills and 6 aces on Tuesday, while Miley Geise had 3 kills, 26 assists and 2 aces.

Roland-Story volleyball returns to action on Thursday, when they travel to Jewell to take on South Hamilton in Heart of Iowa Conference action, beginning at 6:30 PM on 95.7 KQWC or online at kqradio.com.
