The Eagle Grove Eagles volleyball team returned to action on Monday night, as they hosted the Paton-Churdan Rockets in non-conference action at Eagle Grove Elementary School. Eagle Grove entered with a record of 1-8, while Paton-Churdan entered at 2-0.
Eagle Grove came out of the gates playing well, holding the Rockets at arms length throughout the first set to grab a 25-17 win. Paton-Churdan bounced back and battled the Eagles tough in set 2, but it was a late Eagle Grove push that sent them over the top for 25-21 win, before the Eagles dominated the 3rd set for a 25-13 win and 3-0 sweep of the Rockets.
Stats were not available as of Tuesday morning, Eagle Grove volleyball returns to action on Tuesday when they travel to Algona to take on Bishop Garrigan in Top of Iowa West action at 7 PM.
