The Webster City Lynx volleyball team returned to action on Thursday night, as they hosted the Algona Bulldogs in their North Central Conference opener at Webster City High School. Webster City entered at 5-4, while Algona entered at 3-0.
Webster City would trail throughout most of the opening set, but a late rally by the Lynx saw them comeback for a 26-24 win. Set 2 appeared as a near carbon copy to set 1, as the Lynx again fought back from a late deficit to win in extra rallies by a 26-24 margin. Webster City then fended off a late Algona rally in set 3 to capture a hard-fought 3-0 sweep.
