Roland-Story volleyball sweeps Saydel in HOIC opener, 3-0

The Roland-Story Norsemen volleyball team returned to action on Thursday night, as they opened their Heart of Iowa Conference slate by hosting the Saydel Eagles at Roland-Story High School. Roland-Story entered with a record of 6-1, while Saydel entered at 1-2.

Roland-Story got out of the gates quickly on Thursday, dominating Saydel for a 25-6 win in set 1. Set 2 was much of the same, with the Norsemen dominating 25-8, before duplicating that score in the 3rd set for a quick 3-0 sweep.

Stats were not available on Bound as of Friday morning, however Norsemen middle hitter Kam Lande surpassed 500 career kills in the win.

Roland-Story volleyball returns to action on Monday, when they host Grand View Christian in HOIC action at 6:30 PM, and will be on 95.7 KQWC or streaming online at kqradio.com.
