The Eagle Grove Eagles volleyball team returned to action on Thursday Night, as they made the trip north into Winnebago County to take on the Forest City Indians in the Eagles Top of Iowa West opener. Eagle Grove entered at 0-1, while Forest City was in there season-opener.
Forest City came out of the gates hot, ambushing the Eagles to a 25-7 victory in set 1, before doing much of the same in set 2 with a score of 25-8. The Eagles put together their best set in the 3rd, but Forest City was still too overpowering in a 25-10 set win and a 3-0 sweep.
Eagle Grove stats were not available on Bound as of Friday morning, the Eagles return to action on Saturday at the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Tournament, beginning at 9 AM.
