Webster City softball ends regular season with win over Southeast Valley, 4-3

The Webster City Lynx softball team returned to action on Monday night, as they hosted the Southeast Valley Jaguars in non-conference action at Webster City High School. Webster City entered at 15-12, while Southeast Valley entered at 16-8.

Both teams would each trade a run in the 1st to have the score at 1-1, before each side would put up 2 runs in the 3rd to make the score 3-3. Webster City would pull ahead 4-3 with a run in the 4th, and the Lynx pitching and defense would shut down the Jaguars the rest of the way in a 4-3 victory.

Webster City stats were not available as of Tuesday morning, as the Lynx return action on Thursday, when they open their Class 4A, Region 2 bracket by hosting Nevada at 7 PM on 95.7 KQWC or streaming online at kqradio.com.
