The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows softball team returned to action on Monday night, as they made the trip west on Highway 3 to take on the Humboldt Wildcats in North Central Conference action at Humboldt High School. CGD entered at 1-16, while Humboldt entered at 8-13.
Humboldt would jump on the Cowgirls early on Monday, putting up 3 runs in the first, followed by a 9-spot in the 2nd inning to take a 12-0 lead. The Wildcats would shut down the Cowgirls in the 3rd to clinch the 12-0 victory.
Stats were not available on Bound as of Tuesday morning. Clarion-Goldfield-Dows returns to action on Tuesday, when they host Garner-Hayfield-Ventura in non-conference action at CGD High School.
