The Roland-Story Norsemen softball team returned to action on Wednesday night, as they welcomed in the (3A) #10 PCM Mustangs in Heart of Iowa Conference action at the Hennessey Diamonds in Roland. Roland-Story entered at 6-14, while PCM entered at 15-2.
Following a scoreless 1st, the 10th-ranked Mustangs got the bats going with 3 runs in the 2nd, followed by 3 runs in the 3rd to take a 6-0 lead. After a scoreless 4th, PCM put up 4 runs in the 5th to take a 10-0 lead, before blanking the Norsemen in the bottom of the frame to clinch a 10-0 win.
Roland-Story stats were not available as of Thursday morning, as the Norsemen return to action on Friday for Day 1 of the Norsemen Classic, when they host (4A) #12 Bondurant-Farrar at 6:30 PM.
