The Webster City Lynx softball team returned to action on Monday night, as they traveled to Fort Dodge to take on the (1A) #5 St. Edmond Gaels in North Central Conference action at Harlan Rogers Sports Complex. Webster City entered at 10-5, while St. Edmond entered at 12-5.
St. Edmond would jump out in front in the 1st, off a long Mariah Myers blast to put the Gaels up 1-0. The game stayed at 1-0 until St. Edmond put up 2 runs in the 3rd off RBI double from Toryn Helle and Payton Bradley to make it 3-0. St. Edmond put the finishing touches on things with a Toryn Helle solo home run to center in the 5th to cap a 4-0 win.
Bonnie Nohrenberg went 2-for-3 on the day with a double and single, while Delainey Bargfrede pitched all 7 innings, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits and striking out 3 batters.
Webster City softball returns to action on Wednesday, when they host Clarion-Goldfield-Dows at Webster City High School in North Central Conference action at 7:30 PM.
