The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows softball team returned to action on Monday night, as they hosted the St. Edmond Gaels in North Central Conference action at CGD High School. Clarion-Goldfield-Dows entered at 0-10, while St. Edmond entered at 9-1 and ranked #6 in Class 1A.
St. Edmond would make quick work of the Cowgirls on Monday, putting up 5 runs in the 1st, 12 runs in the 2nd and 4 runs in the 3rd to complete the 21-1 victory in 3 innings.
Clarion-Goldfield-Dows softball returns to action on Tuesday, when they travel to Rockford to take on the Warriors in non-conference action at 6 PM.
