Eagle Grove baseball shuts out North Iowa, 10-0

The Eagle Grove Eagles baseball team returned to action on Friday night, as they hosted the Bison of North Iowa at Greenwood Park in Eagle Grove. Eagle Grove entered with a record of 5-7, while North Iowa entered at 2-7.

Eagle Grove would put up a run in the 1st, followed by 4 runs each in the 2nd and 3rd to take a 9-0 lead. After a scoreless 4th, the Eagles plated a run in the 5th to end the game early, scoring a 10-0, 5-inning victory.

Jake Jeske would go 1-for-3 with a single and 2 RBI, while Syrus Willard went 1-for-4 with a 2-run RBI triple. Willard would pick up the win on the mound, allowing no runs off 1 hit over 4.2 innings and striking out 4.

Eagle Grove baseball returns to action on Monday night, when they host Forest City in Top of Iowa West action at Greenwood Park at 7:30 PM.
