The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Cowboys baseball team returned to action on Thursday night, as they made the trip down to Webster County to take on the Jaguars of Southeast Valley in non-conference action in Dayton. CGD entered with a record of 4-6, while Southeast Valley entered at 2-6.
CGD senior Carson Nesheim stole the show on Thursday night, pitching a perfect game against the Jaguars. Nesheim struck out 16 of the 21 batters he faced, while only throwing 82 pitches to complete the 7-inning perfect game. Nesheim also had a big day at the plate, go 2-for-2 with a single, a double and 3 RBI, while Mason Allen has the other Cowboy RBI in CGD’s 4-0 victory.
Clarion-Goldfield-Dows baseball returns to action on Friday night, when they travel to Algona to take on the Bulldogs in North Central Conference action at 7:30 PM.
