The Roland-Story Norsemen softball team returned to action on Friday night, as they made the trip into Jasper County to take on the PCM Mustangs in Heart of Iowa Conference action at PCM High School in Monroe. Roland-Story entered at 1-4, while PCM entered at 5-1.
PCM would strike first with a run in the bottom of the first to take a 1-0 lead, before putting up 3 runs in the 4th and 5 runs in the 6th to claim a 6-0 lead, the eventual final.
Kate Berggren went 1-for-3 with a single for the Norsemen, while Eva Corcoran went 1-for-2 with a single. Miley Geise pitched all 6 innings, allowing 6 runs on 6 hits and struck out 4.
Roland-Story softball returns to action on Monday, when they host Nevada at the Hennessey Diamonds in Roland at 7:30 PM,
