To no one’s surprise,May,2024 will go down as a month of above normal precipitation in Webster City with above normal temperatures. Records at the KQWC-KZWC Radio Hill weather reporting station measured 8.58 inches of rainfall in Webster City for the past month. It was way above the normal measurement of 4.10 for May. Last week the U.S. drought monitor showed no drought conditions in the state for the first time since 2020. The average high in Webster City for May was 72 degrees with an average low of 46 degrees. Webster City’s warmest day for the month was 86 degrees on the afternoon of May 18th with the lowest recorded temperature for the month being 33 degrees on May 3rd.
The National Wesather Service outlook for June indicated that this month could see above normal temperatures with equal chances for precipitation forecast for Iowa. Webster City’s weather stats for June,2023 showed 82 degrees as the average high, 56 degrees as the average low with 3.43 inches of rainfall in June of last year.
