The Eagle Grove Eagles baseball team returned to action on Wednesday night, as they made the trip into Winnebago County to take on the Lake Mills Bulldogs in Top of Iowa West Action at the Lake Mills Baseball Field. Eagle Grove entered at 3-4, while Lake Mills entered at 2-1.
Lake Mills struck 1st in the bottom of the 1st as sophomore Nash Delger scored to put the Bulldogs ahead 1-0. The Bulldogs would hold that lead all the way to the 7th inning, when Eagle Grove broke the lid and put up 5 runs in the frame to take a 5-1 lead, and close out the 5-1 win.
Nolan Krauss pitched the complete game, allowing 1 run on 6 hits and striking out 12 batters. Drake Canavan would go 2-for-4 on the day with 2 RBI and 2 doubles, while Mack Morgan was also 2-for-4 with 2 RBI and 2 singles.
Eagle Grove baseball returns to action on Thursday, when they travel to Algona to take on the Bulldogs at 7:30 PM.
