The Webster City Lynx girls soccer team returned to action on Friday night, as they hosted the Greene County Rams in non-conference action at Lynx Field at Webster City High School. Webster City entered with a record of 3-3, while Greene County entered at 0-6.
After a tough shutout loss to rival Humboldt on Monday, Webster City wasted little time in building a convincing lead over the winless Rams, leading 4-0 at halftime. The Lynx would add 2 more goals in the second half to cruise to a 6-0 shutout victory.
Jayme Perez would have a career night with a hat trick of 3 goals and an assists, while senior Jillian Symens finished with a goal and 2 assists. Other goal scorers for the Lynx included junior Mia Hansen and senior Kamey Stanley.
Webster City girls soccer returns to action on Monday, when they host Clear Lake at 5:30 PM.
