The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows boys golf team returned to action on Friday, as they made the trip east on Highway 3 to Hampton to compete in an NCC tri at Hampton Country Club. The Cowboys were joined by the hosts in Hampton-Dumont-CAL, as well as Webster City.
Clarion-Goldfield-Dows would finish 3rd with a team score of 208 (+64), as Tristan Kakacek finished with the top score of 50 (+14) and tied for 9th. Landen Kakacek and Colin Kirstein would tie for 11th, as each golfer shot a 52 (+16), while Carson Nesheim rounded out the Cowboys scoring with a 54 (+18) and tying for 13th. Caleb Seaba would shoot a 57 (+21) and JD Morrical shot a 60 (+24) to round out the Cowboys lineup.
CGD returns to action on Friday, when they face Algona and Humboldt at the Algona Country Club at 4:30 PM.
