The Roland-Story Norsemen boys golf team returned to action on Monday afternoon, as they hosted the North Polk Comets at River Bend Golf Course in Story City for a non-conference dual meet.
North Polk would emerge victorious, but by a narrow margin of 4 strokes with a 165 to 169 margin. Roland-Story junior Braylen Loots would tie for the individual win by shooting a 37 (+1), the same as North Polk freshman Ty Haisman. Jack Birkland was 3rd with a 39 (+3), Ryan Fisher was 6th with a 45 (+9), while Nels Hanson was 8th with a 48 (+12) to round out scoring.
Roland-Story boys golf returns to action on Saturday, when they compete at the Bob Schmadeke Invitational in Grundy Center.
