The Roland-Story Norsemen and South Hamilton Hawks girls golf teams returned to action on Monday afternoon, as they competed in a quad meet at Terrace Hills Golf Course outside of Altoona, hosted by Bondurant-Farrar. The Norsemen and Hawks were joined by the host Bluejays, as well as Woodward-Granger and Panorama.
Roland-Story would dominate from start to finish, posting a new team 18-hole record with a 322 (+34). Makenna Carlson led the charge for the Norsemen, setting a new individual school-record for an 18-hole score by shooting a 73 (+1). Brinley Carlson would be 2nd with a score of 78 (+6), Abby Cook was 3rd with an 85 (+13) and Brooke Thompson rounded out scoring with an 86 (+14) in 4th.
South Hamilton would place 3rd with a team score of 406 (+118), but saw Rebekah Carlson place 5th with a 90 (+18), and Abby Adamski would shoot a 92 (+20). Arynn Luppes would shoot a 109 (+37) and Macy Conklin shot a 115 (+43) to round out the Hawks scoring.
South Hamilton and Roland-Story return to action on Thursday, as Roland-Story hosts an 18-hole quad meet at River Bend Golf Course in Story City.
