The Webster City Lynx boys golf team returned to action on Friday afternoon, as they made the trip into Guthrie County to compete in a quad meet at Lake Panorama National Golf Course in Panora. The Lynx were joined by the host Panthers, as well as Kuemper Catholic and Glidden-Ralston.
The top 3 team would all be within one stroke of each other, as Webster City placed 3rd with a team score of 168 (+24), as Panorama and Kuemper Catholic tied for the meet win with 167’s each. Braden Doering shot a team low 40 (+4), as Dawson Bertran and Braylon Plain shot 42’s (+6) each. Cael Nixon rounded out the varsity scoring with a 44 (+8). Luke Firsching would shoot a 47 (+11), while Trevyn Lyons shot a 49 (+13) to round out the varsity lineup.
Webster City boys golf returns to action on Monday, when they compete in an 18-hole tournament at Spencer Golf and Country Club in Spencer.
