The Roland-Story Norsemen girls track teams returned to action on Thursday afternoon, as they made the trip east on Highway 30 to LeGrand to compete in the annual East Marshall Girls Invite at the East Marshall Sports Complex. The Norsemen were joined by the host Mustangs, as well as Baxter, BCLUW, Bondurant-Farrar, Gladbrook-Reinbeck, Greene County, Grinnell, Montezuma, Nevada, Newton, Oskaloosa, South Tama and Union Community.
Roland-Story would pick up a couple of wins on Thursday night, winning the sprint medley in a time of 1:56.76. Kam Lande would then win the 100m dash in a time of 13.14 seconds, as Adalyn Sporleder placed 2nd in a time of 13.48 seconds. Claire Truesdell would place 2nd in the 3000m run in a time of 11:47.50, as Kennedy Petersen would place 2nd in the 400m dash in a time of 1:04.11. Roland-Story’s 4×100 would place 3rd in a time of 53.48 as well.
The Norsemen tied for 3rd in the meet with 81 points, along with Oskaloosa. Union Community was the team champion with 133 points. Roland-Story girls track returns to action on Tuesday night, as they compete at Ballard.
