The Webster City Lynx girls track team returned to action on Tuesday afternoon, as they made the trip north into Kossuth County for the annual Hannover Relays at Algona High School. The Lynx were joined by the host Bulldogs, as well as Bishop Garrigan, Clear Lake, Estherville-Lincoln Central, Fort Dodge, Humboldt, Lake Mills and Manson-Northwest Webster.
Webster City’s top-placing event would be the sprint medley, which finished 2nd in a time of 2:00.98 with the team of Wright-Gallentine-Chamness-Savitski. Isabel Grossoehme would also place 2nd in the 3000m run in a time of 13:05.93. Cloe Savitski would finish 4th in the 100m dash in a time of 13.49 seconds, while Webster City’s 4×200 finished 3rd in a time of 1:54.58 with the team of Gallentine-Wright-Weinschenk-Savitski. Webster City would then place 5th in a highly-competitive 4×100 race in a time of 53.56 with the team of Savitski-Gallentine-Weinschenk-Wright.
Webster City tied for 6th in the meet with 36 points, along with Bishop Garrigan. Algona was the team champion with 134 points. The Lynx girls return to action on Monday when they compete in the Ram Relays at Greene County in Jefferson.
