The South Hamilton Hawks, Clarion-Goldfield-Dows and Eagle Grove Eagles golf teams competed with one another in separate boys and girls tri-meets on Tuesday. The boys meet took place at Clarmond Country Club north of Clarion, while the girls meet took place at Jewell Golf and Country Club in Jewell.
South Hamilton would emerge victorious in the boys tri with a team score of 185. Landon Sogard would have the top score for the Hawks, by shooting a 44 (+8), while Connor Deppe shot a 46 (+10). Tyler Schactner would shoot a 47 (+11), as Michael Carlson shot a 48 (+12) to round out the scoring.
Clarion-Goldfield-Dows boys would be led by Tristan and Landen Kakacek, who each shot 47’s (+11) on Tuesday. Caleb Seaba shot a 49 (+13) and Carson Nesheim would score a 50 (+14) to round out the Cowboys team score of 193. Eagle Grove would shoot a team score of 210, but their individual results were not posted on Bound.
In the girls meet, South Hamilton also took home the win with a team score of 214. Rebekah Carlson led the way with a 41 (+5), while Abby Adamski shot a 54 (+18). Arynn Luppes would score a 57 (+21), while Macy Conklin’s 62 (+26) rounded out the Hawks scoring. Clarion-Goldfield-Dows would shoot at 234, and Eagle Grove would shoot a 245, but no individual scores were reported on Bound.
South Hamilton girls golf returns on Thursday when they host Roland-Story and West Marshall at Jewell Golf and Country, while the boys return on Friday when they take on North Polk, Gilbert and Van Meter at Ames Golf and Country. Eagle Grove boys and girls golf returns on Friday, when they host a co-ed tri with Belmond-Klemme and Lake Mills. CGD golf returns on Monday, as the boys take on Southeast Valley at Gowrie Municipal Golf Course, while the girls host Southeast Valley at Oak Ridge Golf Course in Clarion.
