The Jewell City Council will have a public hearing for the 2024-25 consolidated property taxes in the community this Monday evening,April 8 at 7:00 p.m. Following the hearing,the council will have its regular meeting with a resolution for the 2024-25 maximum property tax dollars. A hearing date for the 2024-25 city budget will be set. The council will consider a resolution directing Alliant Energy to remove street light poles from Main Street in Jewell. A 28-E agreement with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office will be reviewed. The Jewell city council will look at a drainage district, a sidewalk ordinance review, consider an engineer for a project on East Lane and other matters.
