The Webster City Lynx girls soccer team returned to action on Thursday night, as they welcomed in the Bulldogs of Hampton-Dumont-CAL in North Central Conference action at Lynx Field in Webster City.
Webster City would get off to a rock solid start, putting up 3 goals in the opening half to lead HD-CAL 3-0 at the halftime break. The flood gates opened up for Kristine Mason’s Lynx in the 2nd half, pouring in 5 goals in the 2nd half to dominate the Bulldogs by a final of 8-0.
Jillian Symens would have a career-night with 5 goals for the Lynx. Other scorers included sophomores Janey Putney and Jayme Perez, as well as freshman Sandra Fuentes Cruz. The win moved the Lynx to 2-1, the best start to a season for the Lynx girls since a 3-0 start in 2014.
Webster City returns to action on Monday, when they host Wright County United at Lynx Field in Webster City.
