The Webster City Lynx boys soccer team returned to action on Thursday night, as they welcomed in the Bulldogs of Hampton-Dumont-CAL in North Central Conference action at Lynx Field in Webster City.
It was a bit of a slow start for Webster City, but senior Eduardo Perez quickly snapped the Lynx out of the funk by scoring a goal off a Connor Peck assist to put the Lynx ahead 1-0. That 1-0 score would hold until halftime and well into the 2nd half, but it was Perez that would create separation with timely goal in the 78th minute to put Webster City ahead 2-0. Perez would add another goal immediately following in the 79th minute off a David Villelas assist to put Webster City up 3-0 and give the Lynx a 3-0 win.
Eduardo Perez recorded a hat trick in the win for the Lynx, while Lynx goalkeeper Edwin Nolasco Ramos recorded 3 saves in the match as the Lynx improved to 3-0.
Webster City returns to action on Saturday, when they compete in the Hudson Tournament against Decorah and Waterloo West.
