The Roland-Story Norsemen and Clarion-Goldfield-Dows boys golf teams opened their 2024 seasons on Thursday afternoon, as the two joined with Garner-Hayfield-Ventura for a tri-meet at Clarmond Country Club in Clarion.
Roland-Story would win the meet with a team score of 178, but individual scores were not reported as of Friday afternoon.
Clarion-Goldfield-Dows would finish third with a team score of 196. Carson Nesheim had the top day for the Cowboys, shooting a 44 (+8), while Colin Kirstein shot a 46 (+10). Caleb Seaba would shoot a 50 (+14), Landen Kakacek and Tristan Kakacek both shot 56’s (+20), while JD Morrical rounded the line up with a 57 (+21).
Garner-Hayfield-Ventura finished 2nd with a team score of 184.
Roland-Story returns to action on Tuesday, when they travel to Conrad to compete in the BCLUW Invite. Clarion-Goldfield-Dows boys return to action on Tuesday, when they host South Hamilton and Eagle Grove for a tri meet at Clarmond Country Club.
