Fort Dodge Police are looking for the public’s help in locating a person of interest in the shooting death on December 29,2023 of Ryan R. Andrews. The initial press release by Fort Dodge Police labeled it as a homicide. Investigators are looking for 49-year-old Lewis E. Ayala of Fort Dodge for questioning in Mr. Andrews homicide. Ayala is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing approximately 145 pounds, with brown eyes and short partially gray hair. Ayala is currently wanted out of Webster County for Possession of a Firearm as a Felon.As part of the investigation, the Webster County Crime Stoppers is offering a $500 reward to anyone with information as to the specific and current whereabouts of Lewis Ayala.
