Tuesday morning will be a busy one for the Hamilton County Board of Supervisors. The board will begin the day with a closed door meeting at 8:00 a.m. to discuss strategy with counsel in matters that are presently in litigation or where litigation is imminent.
The regular board meeting will be at 9:00 a..m. The agenda includes a proclamation for April as National Child Abuse Prevention Month. There will be a look at personnel matters. The supervisors will make a request for abatement of penalty and interest, board consideration for a settlement agreement and approve a cigarette/tobacco/nicotine/vapor permit. Resolutions to be considered and approved include a bank depository for the jail and EMS Property Tax Ballot Question. The meeting will wrap up with board and committee reports and other county information.
The public hearing for the proposed property tax for Hamilton County will be held at 10:00 a.m. with the presentation of it followed by questions, comments and concerns with approval to follow.
