The Webster City Lynx girls basketball team returned to action on Thursday night, as they welcomed the Cadets of Iowa Falls-Alden to Jefferson Gym at Webster City Middle School. The Lynx girls entered at 0-14, while Iowa Falls-Alden entered at 6-8.
The Lynx played the Cadets close in the opening quarter, trailing just 15-12 after the first, but the Iowa Falls-Alden offense turned it up a notch in the 2nd quarter, putting up 22 points and leading 37-25 at halftime. The margin only widened in the 2nd half as Iowa Falls-Alden would coast to a 66-44 victory. Olivia Gallentine led Webster City with 15 points and 8 rebounds, IF-A’s Ella Sharar had a game-high 26 points for the Cadets.
