The Roland-Story Norsemen wrestling teams returned to action on Thursday night, making the short trip to the county seat of Story County to compete in a Heart of Iowa Conference tri-dual with Nevada and PCM at Nevada High School.
Roland-Story started the night off against the Mustangs of PCM, and managed to come away with a 48-33 win. The Norsemen picked up pin from Hesston Johnson (175), Caiden Latch (120), Hayden Eslick (126), Blake Loof (132), Kade Blume (138) and Logan Powers (165) to give them the edge, while Konnor Blume (106) and Brady Schmitz (113) picked up forfeit wins as well.
The Norsemen then moved on to the host Cubs and did lots of damage early, jumping out to a 24-6 lead, en route to a 60-24 victory. Roland-Story picked up pins from Ian Tripp (190), Jaxson Kadolph (215), Caiden Latch (113), Cy Wilson (132), Anthony Jones (144), Isaac Hall (150), Logan Powers (165) and Hesston Johnson (175). Kade Blume (132) and Aaron Peyton (285) picked up forfeit wins as well.
Roland-Story wrestling returns to action on Saturday, when they host the Jim Kinyon Invitational at Roland-Story High School at 10 AM.
