The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Cowgirls volleyball team returned to action on Tuesday night, as they made the trip down to Gowrie to take on the Southeast Valley Jaguars in Class 3A, Region 2 action at Southeast Valley High School. The Cowgirls entered at 15-16, while the Jaguars entered at 18-11 out of the Twin Lakes Conference.
The first set would be a back-and-forth affair between the Cowgirls and Jaguars, but it was CGD that wound up on top with a 25-23 win. The 2nd set would see CGD win in a convincing fashion, taking it 25-18 to go up 2-0, but Southeast Valley wouldn’t go down without a fight. The Jaguars and Cowgirls again went back-and-forth in the 3rd set, but it was CGD that was left standing with the 25-23 win and a 3-0 sweep.
CGD stats were not available on Bound at the time of release, the Cowgirls advance to take on #2 Cherokee Washington in Class 3A, Region 2 semifinal action at Cherokee Washington High School on Thursday night at 7 PM.
