The South Hamilton Hawks volleyball team returned to action on Thursday night, as they hosted the PCM Mustangs in Heart of Iowa Conference action at South Hamilton High School in Jewell. The Hawks entered at 12-17 and 2-4 in the league, while PCM entered at 16-12 and similar 2-4 league record.
The first set would see PCM keep the Hawks at arms length, outlasting South Hamilton for a 25-19 win. Set 2 was a more convincing set for the Mustangs, taking that one by a score of 25-16. South Hamilton wasn’t going to go down without a fight, battling hard in the 3rd set, but PCM wound up on top for a 25-20 win and 3-0 sweep of the Hawks.
Stats were not available on Bound at the time of release, South Hamilton returns to action next Thursday, when they travel to Story City to take on Roland-Story.
