The South Hamilton Hawks volleyball team returned to action on Tuesday night, as they made the trip into the seat of Story County as they took on the Nevada Cubs in Heart of Iowa Conference action at Nevada High School. The Hawks entered with a record of 12-16 and 2-3 in the conference, while Nevada entered at 19-12 and 4-0 in the conference.
Nevada would come out of the gates scorching on Tuesday night, as they would take the opening by a score of 25-2. The 2nd set would be more of the same, with Nevada taking that set by a score of 25-4. The 3rd set saw South Hamilton’s offense begin to put things together, but it was too little, too late as Nevada picked up a 25-13 win and 3-0 sweep of the Hawks.
South Hamilton returns to action on Thursday night, when they host PCM for senior night at Jim Marsh Court in Jewell.
