The Roland-Story Norsemen volleyball team returned to action on Thursday night, as they hosted the Saydel Eagles in Heart of Iowa Conference action at Roland-Story High School in Story City. Roland-Story entered at 13-8 and 3-0 in the conference, while Saydel entered at 0-10 and 0-3 in the conference.
Roland-Story would look dominant from the get out, with the Norsemen taking the opening set by a whopping score of 25-3. The Eagles would show more fight in the final two sets, but were simply overpowered by Roland-Story, as the Norsemen won set 2 by a score of 25-7, before winning set 3 25-10 to clinch the 3-0 sweep.
Madelyn Risdal led the Norsemen with kills on the night with 5, while Caitlyn Flattebo and Kamryn Lande each had 4 kills. Senior setter Ali Charlson would finish with 14 assists and 4 aces on the night as well. Roland-Story volleyball returns to action on Monday night, when they travel to PCM to take on the Mustangs in Heart of Iowa Conference action.
