The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows volleyball team returned to action on Thursday night, as they hosted the Lions of Clear Lake in North Central Conference action at CGD High School in Clarion. The Cowgirls entered at 9-11 and 2-1 in the NCC, while Clear Lake entered at 8-8 and also 2-1 in the NCC.
It would be a fast start to the night for the Cowgirls, as they dominated the first two sets by scores of 25-17 and 25-16. Just as it looked like CGD was on its way to a sweep, Clear Lake managed to steal the 3rd set by a score of 25-20. However, CGD came back to take care of business in set 4, winning by a score of 25-18 and collecting the 3-1 win.
Stats were not available at the time of release, Clarion-Goldfield-Dows returns to action on Saturday, when they compete at the Boone Invitational at Boone High School.
