The Roland-Story Norsemen girls cross country team returned to action on Saturday, as they competed in the BCLUW Invite at the Union Town Park in Union. The Norsemen were joined by the host Comets, as well as East Marshall, GMG, Grundy Center, Marshalltown, Meskwaki, South Hardin, South Tama and Waterloo Christian.
Roland-Story won the meet with 29 total points, with the top placer in junior Claire Truesell, who was runner-up with a time of 22:06.19. Seniors Lauryn Kilstofte and Elizabeth Ihle placed 5th and 6th with times of 22:41.47 and 22:58.30, while junior Brooke Thompson placed 7th in 23:07.29. Kara Patterson rounded out the Norsemen scoring lineup by placing 11th in a time of 23:58.88.
The Norsemen return to action on Thursday, when they host the 37th annual Norsemen Invitational at River Bend Golf Course in Story City.
