The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows volleyball team returned to action on Tuesday night, as the Cowgirls made the trip west on Highway 3 to take on the Humboldt Wildcats in North Central Conference action. The Cowgirls entered at 5-1 and 1-0 in the NCC, while Humboldt entered at 3-5 and 0-1 in the NCC.
CGD started off the night in a positive fashion, winning the opening set in a close one by a score of 25-22, but things went sideways soon after, as Humboldt took set 2 25-17, and set 3 25-14. The Cowgirls would rally and compete much better in the 4th set, sending it into extras, but it was Humboldt that came away with the 27-25 win, and a 3-1 win in the match.
Clarion-Goldfield-Dows returns to action on Saturday, when they compete in the annual Jody Dosser Classic in Osage.
