The Eagle Grove Eagles volleyball team returned to action on Tuesday night, as they hosted West Hancock for their home opener at Eagle Grove Elementary School. The Eagles entered with an 0-7 record, while West Hancock entered at 0-4.
Eagle Grove and West Hancock would duel it close throughout the night, as Eagle Grove took the opening set 25-23, before taking the 2nd set by a little more comfortable margin of 25-20. The 3rd set was a back-and-forth affair from the get out, but Eagle Grove was able to dig just a tad deeper to pull out the 25-23 win and complete the 3-0 sweep.
Eagle Grove returns to action on Thursday, when they travel to Belmond-Klemme to take on the Broncos in Top of Iowa West action.
