Two Webster City residents arrested after Friday afternoon incident with police

On July 14, 2023 an Officer with the Webster City Police Department observed a wanted individual
walk into a residence located at 303 Broadway Street in Webster City. The officer was able to identify
the subject, Ty Christian Pippin, from previous dealing with him. Due to potential for firearms to be
involved, additional law enforcement was called in to secure a perimeter and ensure the safety of the
public.
After a brief standoff, law enforcement entered the residence in an attempt to locate Pippin. Pippin
was eventually located hiding in the basement area of the house and surrendered without incident.
Pippin was then transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
Arrested were Bridjett Joyce Humlicek (18) of Webster City. Humlicek was charged with Interference
with Official Acts, a Simple Misdemeanor and Accessory After the Fact, an Aggravated Misdemeanor.
Humlicek was transported to the Hamilton County Jail. Also arrested was Ty Christian Pippin (24) of
Webster City on outstanding warrants from Hamilton County for Contempt of Court and an
outstanding warrant from Webster County.
A Simple Misdemeanor is punishable by a fine of at least $105 and no more than $855 as well as
possible incarceration not to exceed 30 days.
An Aggravated Misdemeanor is punishable by imprisonment not to exceed 2 years and a fine of at
least $855 but not to exceed $8,540.
The Webster City Police Department was assisted by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office and the
Iowa State Patrol. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
