When the Webster City Community School Board meets for its July session this Monday evening,July 17 at 6:00 p.m.., there will be a new face. Matt Berninghaus will be in charge of the meeting as the new superintendent of the Webster City Community Schools. Berninghaus comes to the Webster City district after a stint with the Central City-Urbana School District in Linn County. He replaces Mandy Ross who retired on June 30.
Monday’s board meeting will include the approval of a 28 E contract with Iowa Central Community College and approve a service agreement with Johnson Control with the parts for the high school intercom system. In personnel matters, the Webster City school board will accept the resignations of Alex Koons as the assistant boys soccer coach and from Chad Vogelbacher as the head girls soccer coach. There will be transfer requests coming from Tyler Mosbach from assistant girls track coach to head girls track coach and Kathy Malaisie Runyan from high school 12 month secretary to business office accounting clerk. The board will review the 28 E agreements with the Stratford and Hubbard Radcliffe school districts plus other matters
