
The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows baseball team returned to action on Wednesday night, as they made the trip into Dallas County to take on the Woodward-Granger Hawks in Class 2A, District 4 semifinal action at Woodward-Granger Elementary School in Granger.
Woodward-Granger would take the early lead, putting up 3 runs off RBI from Nick Rees, Shaefer Hanson and Kaden Seeman as they took a 3-0 lead after 2 innings. It wouldn’t be until the 6th that the Cowboys would threaten, scoring a run to cut it to 3-1, and had the bases loaded with 2 out, but were unable to convert as Woodward-Granger held on for the 3-1 win.
Clarion-Goldfield-Dows season comes to an end a 9-22, Woodward-Granger moves on to the Class 2A, District 4 final, where they’ll face off with conference rival Ogden.
