Webster City Police officers responded to a 911 call at 6:49 Sunday evening,July 3 of a man with a firearm at 408 Grove Street in Webster City. The 911 caller stated a male discharged a weapon and was running around in the yard. Webster City Police arrived on the scene and located an adult male who was suffering from two gunshot wounds. Officers provided medical treatment to the male until Van Diest Medical Center paramedics arrived on the scene. The male was transported to Van Diest Medical Center and then transferred by air ambulance to a Des Moines area medical center for treatment to be non life threatening gunshot wounds. Webster City Police is investigating a thorough investigation into the circumstance of the Sunday evening incident at 408 Grove Street. In a press release , Webster City Police chief Shiloh Mork said the initial investigation indicates there is no harm to the public and this was an isolated incident. Due to this be an active investigation, the name of the wounded individual is not being released.
