The next Webster City city council meeting will be this Monday evening,July 3 at 6:00 p.m. in the city council chambers. Monday’s agenda will include the second reading of an ordinance amending the code of ordinances for Webster City’s permit and plan review fees. A council memorandum in regards to the re-acquisition of lots in the Brewer Creek 5th and 6th Addition will be looked at. There will be a resolution authorizing the mayor to sign and execute an engagement letter with Ahlers and Cooney P.C. for the wastewater treatment facility easement acquisition services. The date of July 17,2023 will be set for a public hearing on a proposed offer to purchase city owned property located in Webster City. A memorandum of understanding will be signed by the mayor for the Webster City Self Supported Municipal Improvement District for the Music on Mainstreet Project, A resolution to approve a rebate of $20,000 of Utility Permit Fees paid by Platinum Connect LLC in connection to the Fiber Obtic Network Constructed in Webster City and Right of Way Access License Agreement entered into the city of Webster City in 2021.
In other matters, the Webster City city council on Monday evening will consider the request from the Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce to extend the scope of initial street closure requests for July 20 and August 17,2023 for their Market Night events and Classic Car nights. There will also be the acceptance of the goal setting session summary report prepared by Patrick Callahan of Callahan Municipal Consultants LLC for the city of Webster City and consider signing an engagement letter with Hinson Consulting LLC to provide Financial Analysis Assistance Services plus other matters.
