The Iowa State Patrol responded to a report of a two vehicle crash in rural Franklin County shortly before 1:00 Saturday morning at 190th Street and Highway 65. The crash claimed the life of a Colorado motorist. Reportedly an eastbound 2017 Subaru WRX driven by 34 year old Adam L. Booker of Aurora,Colorado ran through the stop sign colliding with a southbound 2015 Jeep Cherokee driven by 26 year old Spencer Brinkman of Latimer. The impact from the accident sent the Booker car entering a southeast farm field and started on fire. The Brinkman vehicle entered the east ditch where it came to rest. Adam Booker was pronounced dead at the accident scene. Spencer Brinkman was transported to Mercy One North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City by the Franklin General Hospital EMS ambulance. The accident remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol with assistance of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, Hampton Fire Department and Franklin General Ambulance.
