The South Hamilton Hawks baseball and softball teams returned to action on Wednesday night, as they hosted the Eagles of Saydel in Heart of Iowa Conference action at the Mike Penning Athletic Complex in Jewell. South Hamilton baseball entered with a record of 6-9, while South Hamilton softball entered with a record of 2-13.
Hawks baseball would fall to Saydel by a final of 7-0 on Wednesday night to drop to 6-10 on the season, stats were not posted on Bound at the time of release.
South Hamilton softball would also fall to Saydel by a final of 14-3 to drop to 2-13. The Hawks trailed 7-3 through the 5th inning, but the Eagle would slam the door shut with runs in the 6th and 7th to pick up the win.
South Hamilton softball returns to action on Friday, as they compete in the Kiwanis Tournament in Roland. Hawks baseball returns on Monday, when they take on Perry in Heart of Iowa Conference action.
