Webster City baseball ten-runs Iowa Falls-Alden on Friday

The Webster City Lynx baseball team returned to action on Friday night, as they took on the Cadets of Iowa Falls-Alden in North Central Conference action at Webster City High School. Webster City entered Friday’s game with a record of 8-10 and 3-2 in NCC play.

Webster City got off to a fast start on Friday night, plating 3 runs in the top of the first, before adding another in the top of the 2nd to lead 4-0. IF-A would answer back with 3 runs of their own in the top of the 3rd to cut it to 4-3, before the Lynx would tack 3 runs back on to lead 7-3 after 3 innings. Webster City’s offense added 5 runs in the 4th, and finally added a run in the bottom of the 5th, to put the 10-run rule into effect and come away with a 13-3 win in 5 innings.

Keegan Hisler was the winning pitcher of record, going 3 innings and allowing 3 runs (1 earned) off 2 hits and striking out 4. Trevyn Lyons would go 3-for-3 on the night, driving in 3 RBI off 3 singles.

Webster City returns to action on Monday night, when they travel to Hampton to take on Hampton-Dumont-CAL.
