Eagle Grove varsity splits TOIW matchup with North Union

The Eagle Grove Eagles baseball and softball teams return to action on Wednesday night, as they hosted the North Union Warriors at Greenwood Park in Top of Iowa West Conference action. Eagle Grove baseball entered with a record of 7-6, while Eagle Grove softball entered with a record of 8-5.

Eagle Grove softball would fall to the perennial northern Iowa powers in the Warriors by a final of 13-0. Warrior senior Olivia Von Bank would fall a double short of the cycle, going 3-for-3 with a home run, single, triple and 4 RBI. Addyson Jeske and Tarissa Middleton would tally the only hits for the Eagles on the night as well.

Eagle Grove baseball would get back on the winning track with a 10-3 win over North Union, as the Warriors would strike first with a run in the 3rd, before the Eagles put up 4 runs in the bottom of the 3rd. Eagle Grove would then put up 3 runs each in the 5th and 6th en route to the 10-3 final. As of release, no Eagle Grove stats were posted in Bound.

Eagle Grove returns to action on Thursday night as they take on North Iowa.
