A number of KQ-Area girls golf teams descended upon Jewell Golf and Country Club on Friday afternoon, to compete in the 18-hole South Hamilton Tournament. The Hawks were joined by Roland-Story, Eagle Grove, West Marshall and Greene County.
Roland-Story would take home the team title, shooting 354, as well as the individual title as freshman Brinley Carlson shot a tournament-low 83 (+11). Junior Makenna Carlson would shoot an 84 (+12), sophomore Eva Corcoran would shoot an 89 (+17) and Abby Cook, Gabriella Wakefield and Brooke Thompson would all tie for 11th in shooting a 98 (+26).
Eagle Grove would finish 3rd with a team score of 400, their top golfer would be sophomore Kennedy Thacker, who shot a 95 (+23). Senior Ella Jensen would place 15th with a score of 100 (+28), junior Julie Gardner would place 16th with a score of 102 (+30) and sophomore Piper Willard would place 17th with a 103 (+31)
South Hamilton would place 4th with a 417 with their top golfer in junior Rebekah Carlson, who tied for 6th by shooting a 93 (+21). Junior Abby Adamski would place 19th by shooting a 106 (+34) and seniors Savanna Freeman and Amanda Ostrem rounded out the varsity scoring by tying for 21st, each shooting a 109 (+37).
